Oblivion modding.....here we go.......

I'm going to be discussing some game mods that I have installed and recommend for various games. I can also offer some support if needed :)

I am going to start with Oblivion.

"Currently I have configured my Oblivion with close to 60 mods, most of them adding to the immersion or atmosphere to enhance the overall gameplay experience. "

First the essential utilities.

Oblivion Mod Manager
Use this to install and manage all your oblivion mods.

Oblivion Script Extender
"The Oblivion Script Extender, or OBSE for short, is a modder's resource that expands the scripting capabilities of Oblivion"

Onto the mods themselves.

Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul
"CONSIDERED BY MOST TO BE AN EXPANSION RATHER THAN A MERE MODIFICATION, OSCURO'S OBLIVION OVERHAUL COMPLETELY RE-DESIGNS AND ENHANCES THE TES IV: OBLIVION EXPERIENCE. IT AFFECTS ALMOST ALL ASPECTS OF THE ORIGINAL GAME: QUESTS, ENVIRONMENTS, DUNGEONS, NPCS, CREATURES, AI, COMBAT SYSTEM, MAGIC SYSTEM, THIEVING SYSTEM, CONTAINERS, SPAWN LISTS, LOOT LISTS, ITEMS, BOOKS, INTERFACE AND LEVEL PROGRESSION. IT ALSO ADDS THOUSANDS OF NEW ITEMS, CONTAINERS AND LISTS, HUNDREDS OF NEW NPCS AND CREATURES, SIXTEEN NEW MULTI-LEVEL DUNGEONS, DOZENS OF NEW BOOKS, SEVERAL NEW QUESTS, REALISTIC AI FUNCTIONALITY AND NEW PC ABILITIES' FEATURES."

You can grab the mod and the patches here:

Deadly Reflex Combat Mod
"Deadly Reflex - Combat Moves is combat enhacing mod for Oblivion, which adds new dimension, tactics and violent action to the Oblivion Combat by adding new combat moves for both the Player AND the NPCs."
"Version 6 makes practically everything better, and brings in new features like 1st person horse combat, gruesome weapon throws, acrobatics based kick system, momentum based chance system, on screen blood and more immersive and dynamic 1st person animations."

Unique Landscapes
"This mod changes many outdoor locations, making them more diverse and interesting. Adding Cliffs, Mountain ranges, Larger forests, Waterfalls and many more to the game world. Changes roughly 40% of the wilderness into much more unique and diverse set pieces."

Alternative start
"This mod makes it so that instead of starting in the Imperial Prison like a common criminal, and having to do the tutorial, you start in your cabin aboard a ship. Having completed your immigration forms (Character Generation), you arrive at the the port of your choice."
"A variety of options are presented to the player, affecting how much gold you start with, and what items. Whether you want to be a Down-on-his-luck Noble, or a wealthy merchant is up to you. Do you want an easy life with plenty of money, or more of a challenge?"

Living Economy
"This plug-in creates more realistic bartering mechanics, a more interesting mercantile environment and harder ""get rich quick"" schemes."
* No more infinite gold
* The NPC's Mercantile skill will be the main factor in determining their gold
* Now a merchant's mercantile skill will no longer be static.
* Different merchant types will reset their barter gold to base after different amount of days
* And more.

Reneers Guard Overhaul
"This mod changes the Guard behavior by modifying how Guards react to player crimes. If you attack a guard, only that Guard will defend himself (no other Guards will attack unless they see the fighting). If you manage to outrun the Guards, they will no longer chase you to the ends of Tamriel"

Clocks of Cyrodiil
"Adds something that was left out of the game from the start, clocks. Tiny little feature that can add a whole new level of atmosphere"

Adrenaline Oblivion
"You've felt it. You've been playing with a realism mod, like Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. You see one bear every five square miles, maybe three deer. You entered the lair of the Worm King and discovered it was staffed by maybe ten necromancers. You've been to Oblivion, and fought ten to 15 daedra.. not much of a world-destroying threat to be sure. You've watched your character turn into a living God compared to all the bandits, marauders, conjurers, necromancers, and creatures around you."

Quest Award Leveling
This mod makes level-scaled rewards from quests be upgraded to their higher versions as you reach the level for those versions.

Immersive Interiors
" By using All Natural's superb interior weather system, this mod adds new found realism to the game, allowing you to see out of the interiors windows. This means you can be in the local pub, staring out of the window at the town around you, or watch the sun set behind the city walls out of your home's bedroom window."

All Natural Weather
All Natural combines a robust custom weather system that allows the use of weather types from all existing weather mods with custom versions of Natural Interiors and Real Lights in order to provide the greatest weather/environment experience possible

Animated Window Lighting System
"This mod adds and animates window lighting to the cities at night, as stock oblivion does not have any windowlights at night, this adds them and even puts them on a schedule, also adds smoke to chimneys"

Better Cities
Makes numerous changes to the cities adding lots of detail and extras

AFK Weye

"AFK_Weye completely revitalizes the village of Weye outside the Imperial City, adding new buildings, new NPCs, and a Cyrodiil-spanning questline that faces you off against enemies new and old."

"At the start of the mod, there are two new merchants in town. Thalonias is a wealthy traveling Breton for those players who like to recieve a reasonable price for their items. Lucius Decimus owns a bow shop, selling bows and enchanted arrows. In addition, there are several more new NPCs living in four other new houses in town. Through quests, you can attract even more NPCs to town, some of whom offer their own services and quests. I have personally played through the quests added by this mod and some of them are WAY better than any stock quest in Oblivion :)"

The Dark Tower
"It's intended to be a player home mod, but has end-up beeing a complete new and unique town. the player will have to work a lil to get the ownership of this incedibly detailed evil tower "
through a journal quest. There's a total of 8 Quests

Faregyl Village
"This mod adds a pig farm, chicken farm, rabbit farm, some traditional crops, and a local smithy to the Faregyl area. Instead of an isolated sleepy old inn, now there's a useful farming village to help sustain the population. Each farm is owned by an NPC who has a work schedule and a normal eat/sleep schedule"

Mudwater
"This mod adds an Argonian village called Mudwater to the Blackwood Forest. The village is made almost completely from new meshes and comes with four quests. The quests are rather short, but they are hopefully fun - there is much more to see than just the village."

To be continued
